Padang, DD Singgalang – Unite in the spirit of Humanesia (Humanity), to help residents affected by the earthquake in West Sulawesi and floods in South Kalimantan. Since Monday (19/1/2021) Dompet Dhuafa Singgalang and dozens of communities in West Sumatra and outside West Sumatra have united energy together in raising donations.
“So far there have been more than 20 communities from West Sumatra and outside West Sumatra who are members of the Indonesia Ready for Alert program, God willing, this number will increase. We are still open to collaborating together,” said Novil Oksan Putra as Fundraising Supervisor for Dompet Dhuafa Singgalang. Monday (1/2/2021).
Furthermore, on the first Sunday in February, it is targeted that all communities have submitted donations from the results of raising. “The raising is online and offline, and after the funds are collected, we immediately distribute them to residents affected by disasters in West Sulawesi and South Kalimantan,” said Novil.
For the time being, the total donation collected is Rp. 13,730,000, the details for the West Sulawesi earthquake are Rp. 5,830,000 for the South Kalimantan flood of Rp. 7,900,000. “We collect total donations from corporate donors , retail and several communities who have donated. Hopefully we can get donations according to the target, 50 million rupiah each for the West Sulawesi earthquake and South Kalimantan floods,” said Novil.
Besides that, Saturday night 06/02/2021 a charity concert event will be held. Dompet Dhuafa Singgalang synergy with Rescue FKAN Pauh IX Padang City. “In this case, community friends from Rescue FKAN Pauh IX will plan to invite local DPRD members from Kuranji and the Mayor of Padang to attend,” said Novil.
After all event activities and all donations have been collected, later coordination will be carried out with Dompet Dhuafa in the affected branch to distribute the entire donation. “Later, regarding what needs to prioritize, we will discuss with the Dompet Dhuafa branch team. Later, all the community logos that have collaborated will be displayed on banners in symbolic delivery of aid, as well as documentation reports on donations,” added Novil.
